Folks, Maybe the upsurge in sweeping the bands, if they are ionosondes, might mean research is very active in devining if we are finally going into the uptick of the sunspot cycle. Certainly at the extremes of those cycles is when a lot of interest is found in propagation effects. -Stuart K5KVH
