I am very hearing imparied...wear hearing aids in both ears, and have both 
the omni vi plus upgraded to option 3 and the omni 7.
The ssb audio between the two, if using external speakers, is pretty darn 
good.
But....the omni 7 really makes ssb copy very very pleasant..
Reminds me of my old Pegasus.
