========================================

I did the same thing about a year ago, and was promptly moderated and
perhaps still am, so if ya screws up, ya pays the price. No body ever said oh poor
baby to me and lets give him another chance, so suck it up and pay your
dues.. :)

.. by the way this is still the Ten Tec reflector, the orion only reflector
is a different group. So I currently have an original Orion, a scout with
all modules, a corsair II with ext vfo, an omni -d with matching power supply
, a triton 4 with power supply, digital read out and matching tuner, I guess
that qualifies me as a Ten Tec Person.

along with those I also have a ts 2000, ic 746 pro, ft 847, ft 101 zd, the
two 857 d's, and most have either or both an amplifier ( from an alpha 87a
on the orion , at500/ 2 KL on the 746, als 600 on the ts2000) and several ldg
tuners from the AT-1000 to the z 11's)

I have taken to reading this reflector in digest form, and have limited my
postings mostly due to the nit picking and repetition of minutae.

The Orion is a great rig, and contrary to what is often stated here, a super
contest and dx machine. I have enough junk to compare it to, and I use it
the most.

Ten Tec has treated me well and in fact much better than the folks on this
reflector some times, and my big problem is that folks see the repetition of
the little hiccups of the orion ver this or that running software ver this or
that, and get scared away from buying an orion.

Folks if Ten Tec looses too many customers from the folks reading this
reflector, their amateur business may someday go away. I say lets support Ten
Tec, and indicate that the earth shattering problems discussed to death here,
are actually pretty insignificant in the use and ability of the best radio ever
made for under $5000.

Just my opinion, Your Mileage May Vary
