"DO NOT attempt to police the list. If a topic doesn't interest you, filter
it, delete the message, or ignore it. DO NOT complain about it on the list.
If there is an objectionable message posted to the list, please bring it to
my attention via private e-mail. The best way to help to end a thread is not
to continue posting messages."

I'm reading this to say that it is NOT up to us list members to point out
posts that refer to auctions or the 'bay. In fact, the list moderator
indicated as much a month or so ago, IIRC.

That's not to say I agree with the ban on discussing auctions or the 'bay...
I do not. But..... it ain't my list. I can either play by the rules or
quit. Every time I see someone on the list spanked for an innocent
reference I move a step closer to unsubscribing.

In fact, as I write this, I have convinced myself that I should, as it were,
put up or shut up.

I do not agree with the ban on referring to auctions in any way. Too
restrictive. Therefore, I am unsubscribing, effective immediately. See you
on the bands.
