[TenTec] Frozen display on Omni V.9

Bob,

I don't have nor have ever owned an Omni V. But as a shot in the dark, try
reheating the connection pins for the encoder. I have an Orion I and have
had trouble twice with the encoder for the RIT/XIT. Both times it cured the
problem. With the Orion, pressing the encoder resets things to "0". I look
at it as an easy "try" before totally replacing the encoder. Good luck.

I'm not sure about the software. The V -> V.9 mod involves replacement
of the main EPROM ie a change of the firmware. There are enough V.9
modded rigs out there to have shown up this problem already, if that had
been the cause.
