[TenTec] ORION II and microphone

So far, I have used both the Heil Gold line and the PR 40.  I have had
excellent audio reports from both.  The PR 40 does have a stronger
bottom end and may offer a slightly more "commanding" audio.  Of course,
its price is very "commanding."  I also have a Heil Proset 5 which I
haven't yet used on the Orion II but I have no reason to believe it will
not work very well.  If you do choose a Heil mike, be sure it has a
cable wired for a Yeasu radio.

You didn't way what you wanted the Mic/Orion to do (i.e., chase dx,
ragchew,
join the crowd below 14.220 with good audio ??????? That growls at one.
Decide what you want to do with the Orion and then go to Heil's website
and
pick a microphone that meets your needs.
