Paul (& Mark),

I am a weasel I suppose, but I plead extenuating circumstances and throw
myself at the mercy of the group.

When I recently bought my Orion II, I surrendered my Omni VI+ as a trade-in
to Ten Tec. Though they offered me far more than I had imagined they might,
they offered nothing for the optional filters. I weaseled and sold them at
very reasonable prices below the prevailing rate to a couple of gents on the
group.

Now excuse me while I go get a bowl of whatever weasels eat.

;-)

Mark,
If it is any comfort many of us feel as you do. In fact, we've even
coined a phrase for when the owner of a Ten Tec rig takes out all the
filters and sells them separately. If they have, the rig has been
"weaseled" because the owner was a weasel for doing it. Of course not
all agree and I could even be friends with such a weasel, we just
have different opinions - it's a big world. Note that taking the
filters out of a non-working rig, or having them as extra because
they were replaced by InRads. etc. is NOT weaseling.
73,
Paul
