[TenTec] Remote rig operations

Another interesting point was that someone mentioned the pleasure of
building at least a part of one's station. Well, one part that you can
build is a wired, or wireless, high speed local area network all around your
property to allow yourself the pleasure of operating from the picnic table,
the house, the shed, the back yard etc etc etc.

I had a lot of fun building my wide coverage wireless net. I have outdoor
antennas for it up on a tower with hardline, and a 2.4Ghz amplifier as well
as a receive preamp and a yagi. This lets me cover the whole 2.5 acres.

I would still do most of my operating in the shack. But if I could afford a
VII I'd have one in a second, just for the Ethernet (not to mention that it
is an awesome radio by all accounts).
