[TenTec] Orion II bug, or operator error?

I just tried that and it works the way you describe.  I also tried using the 
sub RX to listen on the lower frequency on VFO B while running the TX and 
main RX on the VFO A in the band, and that worked fine.  I don't think the 
main RX is allowed more than a few kHz above or below the authorized bands. 
You can make it do that with some computer control programs if you really 
want to.
