[TenTec] Omni VI+ drifting frequency: FIXED

Well I think I have fixed it.
I called Paul at Ten-Tec who told me to send him the rig, with an estimated
cost being about $70 for parts, plus labor and shipping.
It was the UPS shipping which broke the darn thing in the first place, so
that did not seem like a good option.
I bought a small tube of Super Glue (a little dab'l do you).
I glued the plastic cap of the Oven back on.
Remember, a few days ago I just pressed it on.

Well, since then I have not experienced any drift and the rig has been
running for about 6 hours.  I am not 100% sure it is fixed, but until I
glued the cap, I was having to retune all the time (once per minute) to
follow a QSO.  I made a few QSOs and nobody complained of drift, which was
not the case before.

I have an Omni VI+ opt. 3 which was shipped to me via UPS.

The rattle inside the rig turned out to be the plastic cap of the TCO, which
apparently came lose in shipping.

I pushed it back on.
I did not glue it.

When using the rig, it drifts significantly, to the extent that I need to
adjust the VFO about once per minute.

It seems to be drifting, not jumping.
Any suggestions?
Do I need to glue the cover to the TCO on to the unit?
