Sounds like if I want to ad a bit of a punch to my audio with a Omni Six
Plus would be to add a Titan instead of a W2ihy device. Thanks for all of
the info guys.

I agree with Barry. Equalizers do more than widen the bandwidth.

Having said that, I do not use one on my Orion II, nor did I ever use one
on
my Omni VI+. With the stock TT 705 microphone on both rigs I have gotten
countless unsolicited comments regarding the high audio quality. (And it's

kind of fun to respond to the "What kind of microphone are you using?"
question
with "The stock Ten Tec mic.") (Which always has had me wondering if some
people don't maybe harm their audio by trying to do too much over the stock

design with other mics and equalizers...)

The use of external audio equalization doesn't necessarily mean
someone is looking for a wide audio bandwidth. They might just want to
adjust the voice response over the 2.4Khz bandwidth. There are a heck
of a lot of microphones in use that could use such equalization to
make the op's voice sound more natural at the receiving end.
