Hi John,

I am a little embarrassed at using my Jupiter for AM radio. (Cost vs. Use)
I have antique AM radios that do receive DX stations better than the Jupiter using external loop antennas in proximity to the internal ferrite rods. The ability to null unwanted signals is something I don't think you can do since the Jupiter does not have an internal ferrite rod antenna.
But, the Jupiter listened to CHOW AM 740 at 2140 UTC this afternoon in Central NJ, USA. Nice and clear and earlier in the evening than any of my older radios ever did.
I also listen for beacons later in the evening and have had no problem.
The music on AM radio is nice and melodic after adjusting the bandwidth to suit my hearing. I only use AM to DX and listen to 40's - 60's music on a 52 ft wire and most recently on a Hustler 5-BTV vertical antenna.
MW is harder since you have to wait on a frequency for the beacon to jump above clutter. It is harder but not much more difficult.
Enjoy.
