If you connect it properly and don't overdrive it, the Herc II will 
work well with any decent transceiver driving it. I've successfully 
used mine with an Omni V, K2, K2/100, TS850, and FT1000MP. You can 
only get about 250 watts out driving it from the K2 barefoot. As I 
recall, something like 25-30 watts drive will get you rated power.
