[TenTec] Jupiter firmware any news????

* sigh *

I'm really beginning to think that -- not picking on any one individual,
mind you -- there is a tendency to only read the top of a thread and not the
underlying messages, which results in out of context answers.

Elecraft is mentioned as a competitor. Implied is that Elecraft is better
at pushing rigs out the door (else why mention it?) within the context of
the previous messages. That is the "comparison" I was referring to.

My point was that Elecraft had a great deal of difficulty getting the K3
into production and out the door; no, I don't know why, but I do know
several people who ordered the rig at Dayton 2007 and waiting quite a long
time for delivery. Therefore, like Ten-Tec, Elecraft has their difficulties
to overcome as well.

Sorry to have to spell it out. I guess I was too subtle.

There is no comparison

And how long was it between the time Elecraft demo'd the K3 at Dayton, and
the unit actually went into production?

This is not meant to pick on Elecraft by any means. But if we're going to
do a comparison, let's do a fair one.

Well, the good news is that they do have competitors and those competitors
are
turning out some pretty good products. Elecraft is high on my list. After
all, we have a competitive market system so why not take advantage of it.
It's not like we don't have a choice.
