Thanks Bob and Kim.  That is helpful advice.  I'll keep experimenting. 
I can certainly relate to Kim's comment about all that button pushing...
and then when you want to switch to a digital mode, well, lots more
button pushing to change the setup completely.  Maybe I need to
investigate setting up the User 1/2 feature to do that switching.
