Hi Henry, Thanks for the followup on your Jupiter settings.

The thing with digital modes using sound cards is you sometimes have 
multiple places where gain can be set, ie the sound card may have on board 
pot, the software can have a gain "pot", and of course the rig has its audio 
input circuit controls.

Besides the rig itself, excess gain can be a linearity problem in the sound 
card in extreme cases.
