[TenTec] Audio Issues, revisited

Last March, I took my omni V down to TT for a checkup and while they were at 
it, I asked them to do something about the overpowering AF gain.  Like you 
say, you could breath on it.....very touchy past "cracking it open".  Almost 
unuseable with headphones unless you have an outboard volume control.  They 
did an audio mod that worked much better when I got home.  I did'nt ask what 
they did, but it worked fine.  So a mod does exist that will greatly help 
the radio.
