[TenTec] O-II Bug?

I have an O II with the same firmware version and I use N1MM. Never entered
my mind to use N1MM to set the audio. I use the buttons on the O II - quick,
easy, and not problems. I have the audio set permanently with "left = Main"
and "right = Both" and keep the sub TX audio to zero when I am not working
split. All I have to do to work split is turn up the Sub TX audio.

Subject: [TenTec] O-II Bug?

I've been playing around with a new O-II that just arrived and has V2.039d
firmware in it, and have noticed the following rather annoying 'bug.' I'm
wondering if anyone else has noticed it:

Set both VFO's to a particular frequency (i.e. a DX station working split.)
Subreceiver is turned on. Then press the TX button to transmit on VFO B.
Tune VFO B to the QSX frequency. Use your logging software to command the
O-II to split the audio (main receiver in left ear / subreceiver in right
ear - (this is done with the Alt-F12 command in N1MM, probably a different
command with other logging software.) I do this to listen to the split
pileup on a DX station simultaneously while the DX station is transmitting.

Now, toggle the 'split audio' command (i.e. Alt-F12 in N1MM - to back to
main receiver in both ears). The O-II display will stop 'updating' from
that point on. When you tune VFO's, the frequency will change, and your
logging software will show the changed frequencies, but the O-II display
will not show any changes at all for VFO frequency or any other
function/setting. It is frozen.

The display can be brought back to 'life' by pressing the 'Menu' button and
then back again. From that point on, it will update/display properly until
doing the 'split' procedure mentioned above.

It does not seem to matter what order you press buttons to go into 'split'
mode; it seems that it mostly has to do with the O-II not being happy when
given the 'split audio' software command while it is in split VFO mode (i.e.
TX on VFO B and RCV on VFO A.) If you are not in split VFO mode, toggling
the split audio software command does not seem to cause any issue.

I have an Orion and this 'bug' does not happen with it; only happens with
the O-II.
