I unplug all my incoming antenna lines (etc.) at my window patch panel. However, prior to plugging the ant lines back in later, I short the center to the shield briefly in the off chance the antenna system has any static built up. Maybe a good idea? 73 Charles Harpole k4vud at hotmail.com
