Tony, those IF/AF mods were documented by Rick, VE7TK. I own his
former Omni V.9. An owner between us had removed those mods, but I
restored them last night. Rick had left that documentation in the
owner's manual.

So, I thought I'd addressed all the issues on the Wiki. Silly me. The
mod right below it addresses the factory's apparent preferred mod for
this issue. I had increased the resister in the notch circuit to
overcome the gain reduction in the IF from those modes, as "Mike",
W3TS had originally specified, but it's easy enough to experiment with
that, too.

My reading on the net is never in the same place as the schematic--I'm
stuck with dial-up at home and just don't do much Internet there. I'll
have to print this out so I can study it with the schematic in front
of me. No fun doing a mod without learning something in the process.
That usually dooms me to doing things at least twice, but most of the
time it's just as fun second time around.

(And I have to take it apart again anyway--I suspect I unplugged or
broke a wire, and the PTT line on the mike cable no longer works. The
PTT RCA jack works fine, as does QSK, so I'm sure I just disconnected
something while I was futzing around with the front panel to gain
access to the upper pot board.)
