Wayne,

Have you looked at the voltage requirements when comparing radios?  If you
have AC available for the power supply, the Omni VII will be great.  But I
notice the K-3 will operate at 11 volts while the Omni is looking for 13.6.

Thanks to all who have responded to my previous Omni VII questions.

For a number of reasons, I am leaning heavily toward an Omni VII for my
portable rig.

But I am wondering, with the price of a reasonably loaded K3 pretty
close to that of a fully filtered Omni VII, why did you recent Omni VII
purchasers choose the Omni over the K3?
Or vice versa?
