[TenTec] Lowest loss matching an antenna for my Argonaut 509

Then the question would be, if I selected the right materials (torrid and
wire) and a proper design (number of turns, etc.) then would this be the
least loss matching device? If yes, what material and design would be best?

Ferrite always has some loss. Its the trade off between high
permeability (and hence compact transformer or balun) and loss. Driven
to saturation, the loss (and harmonic distortion) increases very much.
For a given permeability, cores from different makers will have
different losses and thresholds of saturation.
