You guys that aren't on the Omni VII Yahoo! Group are missing out on 
some great tidbits of information from John Henry, KI4JPL.  John is the 
firmware author for the Omni VII.

He just posted some info on the Jupiter upgrade but I found the 
following most interesting and I'm sure of interest to this group.

"Oh yeah, Orion, there is a waterfall display in the up-coming Orion 
firmware, which since it is based on the exact same DSP as the OMNI-VII, 
well, guess what, will be able to add it into the OMNI-VII as well.

Some people have said that we have forgotten some of the other rigs, 
Jupiters, even Orions, but that is so far from the truth it is
ridiculous.

See, isn't it nice that the RX400 is finally out of our hairs???? Now we 
can improve these existing rigs, make the 610 a reality, the high speed 
sweep a reality, add PTT in CW MOX mode to the OMNI-VII like it is in 
the Orion, improved compression for transmit audio for the remote 
OMNI-VII, etc."

John does a great job keeping us Omni VII users up to date on what's 
happening!
