The key in socket is an RCA type receptacle and the only place to key
the rig on CW.. The transmitter is keyed by supplying a ground to that
receptacle. It does not matter whether you use a keyer output or a
straight key.
See the OMNI V manual page 3-11 article "3-5.10 KEY".
