If I remember correctly, that is the "coarse" mic gain control.   Or was it
the "coarse" control on the screen contrast . . .  Wish I could remember.

There's an access hole on the bottom of the Orion about 1 inch (2.5 cm)
behind the USER2 button.  It provides access to a trim pot or variable
capacitor.

What does this adjust?
