[TenTec] Optimizing 238 settings?

Rule 1 is use the minimum inductance. With an L-network there really should
only be one match, or all apparent matches should be very close to the same
settings. 

I suppose if there needs to be a rule 2, it would be use more air capacitor
and less fixed capacitor (lower number on the switch), should only be a
choice at the edges of each range.

Can anyone provide some expert tips on optimizing 238 settings for
maximum efficiency?  I can dial in several combinations of Capacitor/Z
Switch/Inductor settings to provide 1:! SWR to my transmitter from my
160M antenna, but I'd appreciate general rules that might lead to the
most efficient settings.
