Make sure the "monitor" gain is turned down all the way. Trouble-shooting wise, any of the electrolytic caps on the board that has the AF amp chip would be good suspects. Those sometimes fail when unused. That may "heal" with power on them for a few days, but the problem will get you eventually. 73 K8RYU
