If you did open up RIT that wide, you would have to be careful as the continuously variable Jones filter could be tighter than your selected RIT, if set for the 500 Hz end of its range. I don't remember hearing of anyone doing a wider RIT. It's factory capable of 3 kHz. -Stuart Rohre K5KVH
