Are you suggesting we should let them be in their ignorance, rather than try
to educate them?

I think it's our obligation to teach them about receiver specs too and then
let each one decide for themselves which features are more important.

One has to keep in mine that the new ham's are looking for great audio they
don't look at receiver specifications.  all the new ham's in my area are
buying transceivers with eq built in.
