[TenTec] TenTec 1254 Superhet Receiver

there's plenty of very good portable general coverage receivers I'd take portable/emergencies beside the ten tec 1254

I have a 1254, assembled it and while it works okay, there's  nothing to get excited about

the led display is a real battery eater
