[TenTec] New Eagle vs. Used Omni VII

How would YOU terminate the cable at the rear of the rig?    Would you 
drill a hole for
a jack or just run the cable outside the rig and terminate with an 
"in-line" plug?   Or some other plan I have not thought of?
