Wonderfu news then.
 
So I may be looking at an orange or red dot when it's time to replace my Omni VI then.
 
For a CW-only op who likes contests...it's hard to replace this rig with the lower CF roofing filter and the coveted 221 filter.  So I'm glad to see this.
 
Thank you for the instruction, and thank you for seeing my question for what it was (honest).
 
Reading the papers today, maybe I'll soon be asking, "Who is John Galt?" instead.

Art,

John Henry is the programmer that wrote the One Plug software for the Omni
VII. Following the Omni VII email list, he carried on a regular discourse
with all of the users and tried to fix problems as they were reported. If he
is as interactive with the other equipment that has processors, he will be a
gold mine. He left Ten-Tec in the spring of 2008 because of greener
pastures. But it seems like the new VP realized his great value to Ten-Tec
and was able to hire him back!

I haven't seen any discussion here, but John Henry has been hired as Chief
Engineer effective March 1. Check www.tentec.com for the announcement. There
are a lot of happy people on the OMNI VII email list.
