[TenTec] Omni 6 plus chirp on 30 meters

Could anyone please help?
I have recently aquired a Tentec Omni 6 plus which appears to be in good condition.However I soon discovered there is a fault which manifests it's self on 30 meters only.At regular intervals the rig appears to jump or chirp.This is common to both TX and RX.
Perhaps it is some kind of instability??
Any help greatfully received off reflector.
