ARRL measured rx audio passband of 1630hz on the 6+ due to af
circuitry so a wider i.f. filter isn't going to buy you THAT much on
receive.  If you want more fidelity, the 6+ isn't a great choice
without some invasive mods (bypassing af circuit).
