For Sale: Electro-Voice 727SR ceramic microphone
$20 including shipping.

But wait! There's more...

You may or may not recall that right before Dayton, I mentioned that I had
recently bought this "wired for Ten-Tec" EV 727SR mike... only to find out
when it arrived that it wasn't wired for a 4 pin connector (Corsair, Omni,
etc.) but was wired with a 1/4" stereo phono plug for some of the older
rigs. (No one's fault but my own for not verifying that first).

Yes, I did pick up the parts to modify the mike. However, thanks to the
generosity of my friend Greg NB3C (nee KQ3DX), who recently sold his Omni
VI, I now have a 705 Electret Microphone to use with my Omni VI+. And this
makes the EV surplus.

The mike cost me $19 + shipping, but I'll pass it on to a better owner for
an even $20 and pay for the shipping myself (domestic only please).

Not only that, but I'll throw in (at no additional charge) a KDK DM-55A (if
I can read the small print correctly) mike that I picked up at Dayton. My
original plan was to build a small "converter box" that I was going to plug
the EV into, and use the cable from this KDK to attach back to the Omni (and
add in connection for a footswitch and so forth). The rest of the parts I
have a use for, but the KDK mike, I don't. So, since it was intended for
use in the EV project, I'll pass it on with the mike. (I have no idea of
the working condition of the KDK mike; I was told it worked "just fine" but
bought it as-is, and that's how I'm passing it on.

Oh, before I forget, the EV mike is still in the bag as received from the
dealer. Never had a reason to open it...so I'm passing it on that way.

Anyone interested in the mikes, please email me direct at wn3vaw at verizon.net

Now, that leaves me with only one major problem.

You see, the Omni VI+ is a black-dot Ten-Tec, but the 705 mike is an
orange-red dot TT. I just hope that, considering all the discussions on
these matters in recent years here on the reflector, that the two ARE
compatible!
