As was mentioned privately, you can eliminate the need to keep your
transceiver powered up before terminating Commander by installing a ~10K ohm
resistor between CTS and +12vdc.

Thanks Dave.

Commander 8.5.5 seems "Bullet Proof" here with my OMNI-VII. I ran the
mousewheel hard, with rapid rotations as one might do with search and
pounce, and the O7 frequency just tracked with the center indicator of the
bandspread. The CTRL Click to terminate Commander from the Launcher, is a
good way to terminate Commander before the OMNI-VII to avoid the hang (no
response from Commander) from the CTS line not being at +5VDC if the O7 is
OFF. After terminating Commander and then turning the OMNI-VII OFF, one can
continue working with DXKeeper and the other modules of DXLab or "Terminate
all enabled applications". If Commander is "unresponsive", the first thing
to check is the O7 (turn it on), if its on then insure the DB9 straight thru
cable is connected to the O7 and the same port as configured for Primary CAT
serial port.
