[TenTec] no 80m after tune

Dear Sirs
I got a used Argosy 525D on a Swdish  e-auction
first it wouldnt  run due so some issue with power supply - fixed 
blew a fuse too inside Argosy  - fixed

but after using it over a weekend  - while switch from 40m to 80m during
sunday i had to retune antenna - done that many times b4 -
also  with argosy during this weekend ! , but  this time a smal bop/or pop
was heard and 80m didnt work -

it looks like i can resieve some when transmitting on another radio - but 
i cant transmit - some is happening  - due to drain of power-
looking at amps drawn     but   if figures what has happend !

some other :
i noticed inside - is it ment to be so that some x-tals are located
directly at each side of the metal-bandswitch pole - only covered
with some plastic tape - and are those x-tals ment to move a bit sideways
when you change band ?
