Also the MFJ 464 CW Keyer/Reader will read 75% of code received. It reads computer generated and fast code better than slow speed cw or hand keyed cw. You can connect the display of the MFJ 464 to an old pc and display the deciphered code on a monitor, a nice touch when people visit your station. Without being able to copy cw, they can follow what's going on by watching the monitor.

Often you can find a used MFJ 464 for a reasonable price.

I use CWGet for Receive and CWType for sending. The key to successful use
of CWGet with the Orion is to set AGC to slow with a agc hang of 00.21s
I still cant hold a candle to receiving between the ears, but it's the best
I've found and worth the 30 bucks as a teaching device.

I know this is an off topic. Need some help for field day.

What program is out there that can receive CW and display what is sent and
what is received, We want to use it as a display for those who are not CW
literate.

Stay on course, fight a good fight, and keep the faith. Jim K9TF/WA9YSD
