Art,
You know something is shorted. It might produce further damage to blow 
another set of fuses.  It is not good to continually attempt to use a 
failed high power amplifier.

A power supply and all its components are pretty easy to check with the 
unit powered off.

Check the transformer and choke for shorts to frame.
Check capacitors after discharging for shorts with ohm meter.  Check 
diodes with diode range of DMM if solid state.
Tube diodes can be checked for shorts with an ohm meter. (severe shorts 
like cathode to plate).

You may have to disconnect wires at terminal strips to facilitate 
isolated tests.

Make a diagram of any connections you have to take loose, before you 
unsolder.  Helps if you have to interupt your troubleshooting and resume 
later.
