I dont know the 422, but I have a lot of experience with the 425. Based on 
that, Id suspect either the vacuum relay or the smaller relay that drives 
the vacuum relay. 

There could, of course, be a failure on the QSK board. If its like the 425, 
those boards are very easy to work on, and the transistors are all pretty 
standard types that are easy to replace. 

Vacuum relays are available from Gigavac. You need to know the part number. 
Gigavac has a special discount for hams. The last time I bought (roughly 2 
yrs ago), I paid about $75 each. Ten Tec has used several different relays, 
so you need to know the part number of whats in your rig. Gigavac has 
replacements for both. It takes about 90 minutes to change in a Titan if 
youve never done it before. BTW -- Gigavac is whats used in current 
production Alpha, and Alpha told me that theyve had very good experience 
with them. 

The vacuum relay is my strongest suspicion.
