Technically, you don't have a balun in a link coupled tuner. The link is an independent balanced connection to the transmission line already, and thus balanced in and of itself. In fact, it is the ideal balanced coupler. Placed at the optimum point on the tuned circuit, the link should be balanced well. -Stuart Rohre K5KVH
