[TenTec] OT: Indoor antenna "Overcoming Antenna Restrictions"

I have one "stealth" dipole antenna that I keep in reserve for portable
operations when camping with my 5th wheel. It is made out of #20 Grey Teflon
insulated wire and has loops at the end of each element used for attaching
large snap swivels with 25 ft of monofilament fishing line. I try to string
up the antenna in a inverted vee configuration when possible. The ant is fed
with double shielded RG-58 coax. The elements are cut to 52 ft in length and
the internal tuner in my IC-703 matches it up just fine. This bastardized
G5RV is better than nothing. 
For "Ultra Stealth mode" I leave the "shield side" of the antenna laying on
the ground and only erect the element connected to the center conductor of
the coax.
The Grey color of the wire is neutral enough that it virtually disappears
amongst any background vegetation. Even if the wire is out in the open, you
have to be looking very-very closely to spot it.
Sorry for introducing a "rice box" and a "illegitimate" antenna into the
discussion, but they both work.
One last bit of advice - it is not a good idea to use a 70lb compound
hunting bow to launch a arrow over a tree branch in a public campground...
