Good morning all,

My few cents worth. I'm 37 years old - been licensed since 1997, so I
guess I'm one of the younger guys. I own a range of gear, from the
latest digital to stuff that has tubes in it.

What really appeals to me in the Eagle and other Ten-Tec gear is the
clean layout. Not because it's retro, but becuase the learning curve is
not that steep. I've read thru the Eagle manual and figure I could
master most of its functions fairly quickly.

I can't say the same of other radios in that price class. Too many
buttons, menus, etc...

thanks much and 73,
ben, kd5byb

Personally, I would buy it for its specifications, but NOT for its
appearance. I am a relatively new ham at a young 55 years of age, and
I do not have the same nostalgic ties to the past as so many other hams
have. It does not speak to ME as modern or high tech, but has an older
look - after all, you guys all say it looks like an old Argonaut 5. I
would buy it for its specs, not its looks.
