Thanks for the response. I decided to just try the firmware for the
normal 538 that was released the same day the cw personality firmware
that was in my Jupiter and it worked fine, I now have AM and FM modes...
Problem solved I think

The easiest thing is to call Ten Tec or figure out the versions of 
software on the Ten Tec site that are free to download.
