Pepe,
     Elecraft is small company also, maybe smaller than TenTec.  So what is
their excuse?  None, they don't need any.  They beat the Japanese quite
well.

Japan used either to subsidize exports or gave exporters preferential
currency exchange rates.   In any case Kenwood is a large company, makes
many other products and can subsidize some of their own products internally.
Ten-Tec is a small company and their volume can't be that large.   I have
nothing to do with Ten-Tec but as a part owner of and manager of a smaller
company competing against much larger ones, I have experience on how the
game is played.
