[TenTec] Yamaha CM-500 boomset use with Orion II?

I've pretty much decided to try the Orion II first (and perhaps last). Some things I have figured out (band data output to my amp), others...not so much. One item of curiosity is the use of my beloved CM-500 with the Orion II. I hadn't really taken steps to use it with the Omni VII, so I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with the combination?
