[TenTec] Coursair audio out jack

HI all,  Per the manual you are supposed to be able to drive a speaker from the Corsair audio out jack. I have connected a speaker and gotten nothing. Should I be diving into the radio before trying to use that audio out for digital sound export or is it likely a mismatch.  The same speaker when connected to the external speaker jack works fine.  

Also not in the manual does the external speaker mute the aux audio out jack?
