[TenTec] QRP transceivers

Since I'm the one who brought it up...

On closer examination, no, the KX3 is not a clone or derivative of the
Chinese rigs. My apologies for that speculation.

There are some similarities to the size and shape of the case, but that may
be more a function of the purpose of the unit as a light, portable rig. The
layout is different, the functionality is different...

Mea culpa. That's what I get for just jotting off a short, quick note
without further examination.

The Elecraft KX3 is totally an Elecraft design, and it's a
software-defined radio (SDR) architecture, plus roofing filters. I know
Eric reasonably well, and I can assure you the KX3 is not a "copy cat"
design - not even close. And, it's going to be expensive compared to
the MFJ and Ten-Tec Chinese rigs, probably in the $1K+ range.... and
then there's all of the options.

Merry Christmas to all!
