"Mint" Omni C recently purchased is better now.  The excessive current draw ( with no output ) turned out to be PA bias set for maximum instead 1.5-2 amps current.  The seller claimed it worked FB I'm not sure how.   Thankfully  the sideband board is ok.  And, the problem with the band selector turned out to be intermittent ground on the 40M crystal socket. I used technique someone else described here, which was to bridge between that socket ground side and the 80M ground socket with a u-shaped piece of wire wedged with the 40M and 80M crystal.  40M is no longer intermittent.  Rube-goldberg for sure, but the rig is working fine now on.

Does anyone know the part number for the (missing) 13.99 mHz crystal that would allow me to get 10 MHz and and 28.0-28.5 MHz working?
