Here is what you do and what your problem is.

Sounds to me that your XCVR is Connected to the Amps power supply. 

What you need to do is connect your XCVR to s separate power supply.

Also Connect the Amp power supply to a 220 volt line and DO NOT connect to XCVR to the amp's supply.

Ten-Tec had issues with this.  This is hat I have done as well.
